Library Self Checkout Systems

Hi,

 

We use Oliver Softlink as our library system and are looking to purchase a self checkout system. For those of you that are using self checkout systems in their library, what systems are you using?

We use Accessit. We havent enabled this feature as of yet as our new library is less than a year old. Librarian loves Accessit. Was very easy for me to set up. I think you can self scan with a phone app to check books out and everything is SSO pulled directly from MIS though wonde.

Tell your librarian to have a look on facebook as there is a decent community group of school librarians on there and they all help each other out and sugest software to each other. Unfortunatly hes not in at the momemnt to ask which one it is. Twitter is also very active for school librarians since publishers love twitter.

We moved to Oliver last summer and have gone down the app route. Students install the softlink app and once signed in can just scan the barcode of a book to check it out.
