Hi Guys,

Hope you are all doing fine on this lovely summer's day! Thankful for the AC in the office.

I seem to be running into an issue with opening PDF files from Sharepoint / OneDrive synced to a machine. It keeps popping up with a check out & open option.

I have created a GPO reg key to disabled Feature Lockdown and set the value to 1 however this does not seem to be helping.

What am I missing?

I had this recently and couldn't get it to work as a local machine setting. Worked for local user though:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\cSharePoint

Thanks - I will give that a go and get back to you.

Sorry but that has not worked for me! It's still asking me to checkout the file.

Weird,

I've just checked and I have that in both local machine and current users - I'll have a look see which one is actually working!

No problem! Don't break your setup though :p

I've taken both settings out the registry and it's not started prompting me so that's really weird.

The current user one definitely removed the SharePoint / Office 365 server options from the file menu for me though.

The only other thing I did do was disable 'require checkout' on the settings for the SharePoint site - might be a combination of the 2 things that stops it perhaps.
