IT Manager - Independent School- £55-60k - Hammersmith

One of our independent schools is on the hunt for a new IT Manager for the team. This fantastic opportunity is based in Hammersmith, West London with a salary of £55,000 and excellent benefits - Free Lunches, Life Assurance Cover, 33 days + bank holidays and a 10% employee pension contribution.

 

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the School's IT, including infrastructure, software systems and maintaining networks across the premises. The position is also responsible for the development and management of two onsite IT support staff and one Data and SAAS manager. For these reasons, previous management and supervisory experience will be necessary.

 

Responsibilities:

● Maintaining computer networks with software updates and hardware upgrades, providing technical support, and training other employees on best practices.

● Lead and manage IT implementation projects.

● Ensure that all IT services comply with child protection or relevant legislation.

● Actively work to continually improve IT systems' reliability, resilience, performance, and functionality.

● Creating clear documentation on the configuration, use and support of IT systems and developments.

● Development and management of two onsite IT support staff and one Data and SAAS manager.

 

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

 

● Previous experience working in a similar role. (Must be school or education-based)

● Excellent people management skills.

● Strong Knowledge of Windows 10, Windows Server 2012R2, 2016 & 2019, Active Directory, Group Policy, Desktop and server hardware, Anti-virus technologies, Microsoft 365 and desktop office suite, VMware Site Recovery Manager, VMware vSphere\vCenter, Audio & Visual Equipment, interactive screens, whiteboards, and projectors and Networking – DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VLAN, switching, firewall, wireless, WAN.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
