Sharkman Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Morning all, We have a new head at one of our schools and she's getting emails forwarded from $oldhead's user account to the head@ account. I can't just delete $oldhead@ because she's now a teacher there for a few months. Is there any way that I can remove this mail forwarding rule without logging into her account?
Norphy Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 There's a PowerShell command that can do that: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/exchange/remove-inboxrule?view=exchange-ps
Boredguy Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 If it's a case of it's forwarding all e-mail, then yes you should be able to turn this off from within the normal Office 365 User Admin Centre. Select the user, and on the main list you should see "Email Forwarding". If it is set, you can click Edit and disable it so that $oldhead's account stays in their mailbox. We set our Head@ account as a distribution list, as it made it easier to move between people, as we've had a few different Head Teachers over the last 10 years, and each one either wants to deal with their own mail, or for the PA to handle it. 1
Sharkman Posted April 29, 2022 Author Posted April 29, 2022 That was it, I was making a bit more difficult for myself and trying to look in all the different Exchange settings
