Was speaking to my father-in-law the other day and his old Suzuki had something similar under the bonnet. You could flip the switch and pull it out to cut all the electrics - he hadn't known this and it had worked its way loose so he and my mother-in-law had to push it a few miles uphill and leave it in a layby overnight! His dad came to take a look the next day and just pushed it back down and the car sprung to life again. Can't remember what model he said the car was but still

My Fiat Tipo does this too. I found out a few months ago that it also has "follow me" lights as they're called - when I leave the car I can set the headlights to stay on for up to 2 minutes iirc to allow me to get into the house safely and not fumbling around in the dark Otherwise the headlights just go off when the engine does. My Mazda2 has a proximity sensor for the key so if I walk too far away, it automatically locks. Although Mrs Sharkman has now started pointing out that I forget to lock the Tipo more often now...

"Exack'ly" instead of "Exactly" - admittedly this is me doing it, but it still winds me up every time I catch myself

My sister does this too. I personally eat the edges first (because it's a circle, so you eat it in a circle too) and then work my way in from there, usually spiralling until I've found the "perfect bite" to end on (gotta make sure there's a pickle in the last bite)

I eat kiwis like apples, skin and all. I bite the top and bottom off of chocolate covered biscuits and then drink my coffee through them like a straw (superior dunking method, don't knock til you try!) For meals, I'll eat all of one food before starting the next - so if I'm eating hunter's chicken with salad and garlic bread, I'll eat all of the salad first, then the garlic bread and then the chicken.

I got it at 3:05 on my Xiaomi 12 but my partner didn't get anything on hers until we were outside her house at 8pm and the notification popped up but was timestamped as if it came in at 3:21. No noise or anything, just the text on the screen as a normal iPhone notification. We're both on Voxi (Vodafone)

I'm a 3 for my tea, usually in a huge sports direct mug - or one I've got that's larger (I might post a picture later...) For coffee, I'll drink it any way it comes but typically it's either black and none or white and none. I used to have 10+ a day but have had to cut down to 1-2 caffeinated and the rest decaff after some doctor's advice

To be fair "cut things you enjoy out of your life" isn't a very good money saving tip. Bulk buying is though, because you're more likely to stick with it. If you just swap to water (which, yes, is cheaper) you're more likely to just go back to buying single cans everyday. But back on topic, I've cut back on coffee, not just because of the price but because I really did consume too much. I have 1 coffee in the morning and sometimes 1 in the afternoon too. Saves more compared to my 6+ cups a day beforehand

I've got some Sharp, Ricoh and Konica machines at my sites. I can't say I've got any major gripes about any of them, but we did have a few strange run-ins with KM engineers complaining that the company has gone down the toilet and they actually advised us to jump ship when our contract was up... since then, I've not had any issues or strange experiences. Though I can't speak for the service from Sharp/Ricoh because I haven't needed any of mine serviced or repaired yet.

I'm a big fan of "flower bombs"; Seeds wrapped up in a ball of paper, almost like Papier Mâché that you can just toss into a grassy area or something. Best to find out what your native wildflowers are and use those seeds if you can

I have short hair and go to a barber (prefer the cut compared to a regular hair dresser) and pay £15 a visit but I need my hair cut every 2-3 months which adds up. Mrs Sharkman has her hair cut maybe once every year, so I end up spending much more than she does! It's not just about the price of the treatment, mine ends up more expensive because I have to go more often - that's something to consider too

Yep, this is how I did most of mine too. Some will work with the serial number though, other work with the hash code it gives after 3 incorrect attempts. Its a PITA and can sometimes take a long time but worth it if they become usable devices afterwards

I've driven the 1.4 petrol. It tells you to shift up a bit early but if you make it clear you're still accelerating, it lets you go and tells you when to actually shift up. It took a bit of getting used to for me but now I know to ignore the marker until it goes and comes back. Flies off then

Which one, the 500XL or Tipo? I can't say I drove the XL much but the Tipo was really quick, even stock

I've driven a Fiat 500 XL (not L) and that was nice - ours had an issue where the engine smelt like those corn nuts you can get in Tesco, though. I've driven a Fiat Tipo hatchback and that was great, a really fun car to drive. They do it in Station Wagon form too, so might be an idea to look for something like that too? Other than that, I'll echo what's been said about the Mondeo and the Superb - can't go wrong there either

We've had this before too. As others said, it was an outdated driver. We got rid of it by changing the display settings and then reverting it (the user felt comfortable doing this themself as opposed to pressing f11)

For the love of $deity, I'm a dog lover and would avoid poodle mixes like the plague! They need brushing every single day or they'll get matted, they often have poor temperament from being poorly bred dogs and they don't stay clean unless you take them to be groomed once every few weeks, even with daily brushing! You'd be better off with a small terrier sort, like a Jack Russel if anything. But honestly, if you don't want a dog you should sit down and explain that. It's not fair for you to be uncomfortable in your own home.

I'd second that - an i7 for that price with everything else you wanted on it is a no-brainer

One thing I will say is avoid Dell Vostros at all cost! We've had to send a load back as they're all snapping at the hinge. I think a neat little i5 would last you a while, depending on how much storage space you want either 128 or 254gb SSD. Might be an idea to look around at which ones are on sale and such

I'm having a strange issue here... Head asked me to bring some laptops from one school to the other in our trust. I disconnected them from $domain1, left School1 and went to School2. I've then gone through the process of joining them to $domain2 instead and they've all been fine except one laptop that is stuck trying to log in to Administrator@$domain1 but won't let me switch user to the local admin account. I've tried using a command prompt from system recovery to change dontdisplaylastsignin in regedit (or whatever is it) but that's not there and even enabling the built in administrator account hasn't done anything for me. I think I'll have to take it back to school1 and sign in but has anyone seen this before?

Strange - can you see the certificate before updating Chrome? Does it disappear from certmgr.msc when you close Chrome to let it update? How strange

Where is it being auto-installed by GP - trusted root? Does the Chrome updates remove the cert entirely or does it just stop working on Chrome? I had one the other day where a rogue gpo was stopping chrome from working with the SSL, but not Edge or Firefox
