CCTV software

Hi,

 

We've got a non-branded CCTV H.264 DVR system in place and the software seems to be playing up as it crashes when the search option is selected (think it might be the last set of patches).

 

Any recommendations for alternative software to use please.

I am using IVMS-4200 lite and have installed it locally on the machines as was finding the normal IVMS was very unresponsive when it was being used over the network.

 

For some reason my school insist or 6 or 7 people having access to the CCTV software so installing it locally was the easiest and quickest way to get them view any footage that is needed.

 

Lite is OK... it just does not rewind and with it being installed locally I have to use a config files for each machine for any new cameras that maybe added onto the box. I am also very open to using a different software but the choice seems very limited.

Thanks, just downloaded it and tried it but only allows me to add a device between ports 2000 and 8000.

This CCTV is on port 80.

 

Any other software suggestions

Yes, this is correct. All my NVR boxes are installed on IVMS as port 8000. I have installed the cameras on the box individually then added the box to IVMS Lite. All currently working at the moment.

Try GE Security's WaveReader software. We used it back in my last job with some no-name DVRs (and some that were branded "Vista") and that seemed to be fairly simple to setup.

Check out a software called Blue Iris. Seems to work well for us and I personally use it at home too.
