NO2 is though. Don't give an advertising twonk difficult concepts.

The composition of the atmosphere, as taught in 'O' Level chemistry (yes, I am THAT old!) is not a difficult concept.

78.09% nitrogen

20.95% oxygen

0.92% argon

0.04% carbon dioxide, and other gases in small amounts (approximate constituents)

I can’t help feeling this might be Dyson’s Sinclair C5 moment.

In the future, they might find it to be the Bane of their existence...

I mean, if Razer can have Project Hazel...

That is ridiculous and stupidly over-engineered for a face mask but at least it's not trying to mash two otherwise unrelated concepts together. It's like someone at Dyson said "Hey, let's make a set of wireless cans" but then someone up above said "Sure, as long as you can fit a fan in there somehow".

To be fair, I don't think it's an awful idea.

Many people with hearing difficulties have lamented that everybody wearing facemasks has massively impacted their ability to communicate with others effectively. Muffled voices, inability to lip read, etc. So a clear mask and a speaker is actually not all that terrible an idea.

... but admittedly it's Razer, and they absolutely must make it ostentatious and gaudy because, reasons.

The functionality of the mask in Dyson's design I can get: it filters the air that's going into your airways. I'm not sure what the headphones do, though. Do they filter out the laughter and derision from the sounds going into your ears?

They're noise cancelling, so theoretically yes.
