Slow Software Update Sync Following SQL Upgrade

Recently we upgraded SCCM from SQL 2012 to SQL 2017. Ever since we have found that the Software Update Point Synchronization is now taking 1 hour 45 minutes to sync in the console from Microsoft Update and then show as completed, in the WSUS console though it is showing as finished in minutes.

 

Has anyone seen this before?

Do you have any 3rd party WSUS cleanup scripts running? (not the stuff built in to later SCCM versions for WSUS cleanup)

 

What version of SCCM are you using?

 

Do you have only the products you need ticked in the SCCM SUP properties?

Have a script which runs on an evening every other day.

SCCM Version 2111 (problem existed in previous version also).

Yes only products we need are ticked.

 

It literally started happening straight after the SQL 2017 upgrade.
