tangotech Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 (edited) Can anyone help with how we go about updating our adobe creative cloud suite via sccm... or possible a script to force the PCs to check for updates. Can't seem to find anything on updating the suite, only Reader. We use the following.... CCDA PHSP IDSN LRCC PPRO AEFT AUDT AME APRO Cheers! Edited February 14, 2022 by tangotech
RLR Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 I've not found a great way to do this and wish there was a simpler way of doing this but you can run the Remote Update Manager that should be installed as part of adobe installation. The file path should be: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE_Enterprise\RemoteUpdateManager\RemoteUpdateManager.exe" The main issue I've come across with this is it only checks for updates up to the current version installed. What I mean by this is if you have Adobe CC 2021 installed, it will only install updates for 2021 and won't update to 2022.
tangotech Posted February 14, 2022 Author Posted February 14, 2022 Thanks for this... it appears to up Adobe DC / Reader perfectly... but not the other apps like Photoshop, After Effects or Premiere Pro.... Any ideas how we can update these too?
old_n07 Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 We also use RUM to update our client computers and MAC's from an internally hosted Adobe update server, it updates all the installed CC apps on the machine to the latest version of that install but as said won't upgrade versions to a newer one https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/enterprise/using/using-remote-update-manager.html
Fluke Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Hi All, We're starting to use RUM and have the internal server setup and successfully tested updating photoshop on a machine by remoting in and running the command line "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE_Enterprise\RemoteUpdateManager\RemoteUpdateManager.exe" This might be a silly question but has anyone been able to automate the process? Ideally I'd be able to push a command from something like SCCM and client machines will magically update themselves without needing to sign them in first. Scheduled tasks maybe?? Tia!

I use PDQ Deploy/Inventory that runs on a schedule but also on heartbeat. So when the machine first comes online, it will try to update adobe.
