mdrabble Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 Since coming back today, I have random machines refusing to connect to printers with error code 0x000011b and #238 Nothing has changed on these machines and they were working perfectly before we finished in December. I've checked and the update which caused a lot of printer issues isnt installed. I've check and that Point and Print is set correctly on these machines - They have the same settings as other known working computers in terms of updates/GPOs etc..... Anyone any other ideas I can look at? Cheers
3s-gtech Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 I had this in December. I did this on the print server: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/how-to-fix-the-windows-0x0000011b-network-printing-error/
mdrabble Posted January 4, 2022 Author Posted January 4, 2022 Turned out to be windows machines built with 1909 of which I had a small number left to update - which was planned for Feb Half term. All 20H2 machines had no issues. Very strange indeed, no idea why the 1909 builds suddenly took a dislike to printers......
3s-gtech Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 My office PC is on 1909 and I can't print from it at all! It's a broken mess of an install that was in-placed from 7 so needs a rebuild though
FragglePete Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 I've had this today on a number of 'admin office' PCs - still looking into it, but believe also the PCs are of an older build as these are mainly used by our 'admin' staff that we don't always re-image each year. Pete
Tom_P Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 (edited) We had exactly the same issue as this but it hit us in November..? Couldn't find anything on the issue anywhere. Spoke to our print solution provider and they had no idea either. After some investigating we noticed that the issue was only on PC's with Win 10 ver 1909 or lower. We are now running a mix of 20H2, 21H1 and 21H2 with no printing issues. Not sure if the issue is on the 2004 version as we skipped this one. Edited January 4, 2022 by Tom_P
hardtailstar Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 We had same issues today so glad its not our MFDs!..... Hopefully!
ITGuyNW Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 I have 350 on 1909, due to start updating to 21H2 from this term but had no issues...yet....
