techie17 Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 In an attempt to move away from the colossal amount of printing we do every year, im looking at ways to to go electronic as must as possible so does anyone know of systems that can publish student documents in the list below, online to parents so we don't have to use half a rain forest each year for our SEN schools: Annual Reviews and Annual review letters (currently these go home to parents to sign and then send back to school to be filed) Student presentations for parents and files Student One-page profiles for parents and files Student photos for files (these will mostly be in colour) I've no idea if there are any dedicated education systems specifically for schools that can have everything in the above electronically and the parents just log into a portal. We do use Evidence for Learning but i know nothing about this system so i don't know if this would work? Thanks

Scifigirl Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Evidence for Learning would be for your student photos/LearningJournals/ assessment data. Presentations and one-page profiles can also be uploaded to the part of the document so can be seen. We have just started using EFL and are moving towards this. But please remember there will always be some printing, especially in SEN schools.
supportman Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 (edited) We use Microsoft Word to digitally sign documents, Works very well now for internal stuff and saves ALOT of paper. Insert a signature (microsoft.com) We also have both Parent and Student digital portals using Bromcom for all that kind of data stuff. Edited November 12, 2021 by supportman
Oaktech Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Parago e-Sign for forms and documents currently although this is somewhat over-specc'd for the purpose. 1
HereIGoAgain2601 Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 We also managed to save a lot of copying/postage costs for EHCPs at our special school by adopting SharePoint a few years ago. The admin staff were against it and first but it saved hours of time for them and money! Greatest thing we did and proved it’s worth during COVID.
