Ipads and 365 sessions left logged in

Hi, we`re having an issue where pupils using shared ipads are leaving themselves logged in at the end of their lesson, then for the next pupil to have access to their 365 account or have to sign out.

 

In an ideal world, pupils would remember to sign out at the end of the lesson but it rarely happens.

 

Just wondering if there an software we could use or anyone has any recommendations to force a log off after a certain tine.

You could use shared iPad using your MDM? That way each student would have a unique session while using the iPad.

When you say shared do you mean an Apple Shared iPad, or jus that multiple students use the same iPad?

tmoon's link is a shared iPad. I think JAMF calls the later an open iPad.

Sorry, yes, multiple students using the same ipad during the day.

we only have small storage space on the ipads so multiple users fill up the device really quickly

 

i have not found a solution yet either

 

they have to log out and thats all we can do unless someone else knows any different

iPads are designed and configured by Apple as personal devices.

 

Even though Apple have introduced a few tools over the years they really want schools to go 1 to 1 with iPads
