Lorfarius Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 Bit of an odd one this. We have roaming profiles on site and in the last week a weird issue has been cropping up on several accounts. Basically if the user goes to OneDrive or emails then selects Open in App it throws up the following: This is usually the account sign in box for 365 but that's as far as it gets. I've tried cleaning the profiles off PCs and trying several places but once an account has this problem it won't go away. Seems to be popping up on other accounts now and at a bit of a loss at what to do. The Pop up window doesn't provide any info and I tried adding all of the URL's it could possibly be linked to over on Capital Bytes but nothing happens. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Oaktech Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 That looks like an SSL error? Can you check to see if anything on your filtering is interfering?
Lorfarius Posted September 15, 2021 Author Posted September 15, 2021 That looks like an SSL error? Can you check to see if anything on your filtering is interfering? No, looks fine. It's effecting a random number of users rather than everyone.
Oaktech Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 Does it follow a particular user around or is it completely random?
Lorfarius Posted September 15, 2021 Author Posted September 15, 2021 Does it follow a particular user around or is it completely random? Seems to follow users around now they are having the problem. But plenty that don't have the issue.

Lorfarius Posted September 15, 2021 Author Posted September 15, 2021 Tried swapping that user to a local profile? They move to different classrooms across the site.
Lorfarius Posted September 15, 2021 Author Posted September 15, 2021 Just tried this on the same PC with local admin and can log into an email account and open the file in Office without issue.
Oaktech Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 They move to different classrooms across the site. Shouldn't matter, windows will just make a local one, surely it's only minor customizations such as default apps that the profile is holding? You'd be able to prove profile or something else pretty quickly and then move them back to roaming by puting the path to profile back into AD?
Lorfarius Posted September 15, 2021 Author Posted September 15, 2021 I think this is profile based. Just tried it with a test teacher account and used the Open in Desktop App option. Pops up with the sign in prompt and is useable. Another user with the problem logged in on the same machine and it pops up with the "Navigation to the website was cancelled" page so def profile related.
Lorfarius Posted September 20, 2021 Author Posted September 20, 2021 Seems to be down to SSL. After enabling 1.0 in browser settings it just started working!
