We have come across a situation wher we have a large number of stale entries in the Live Users list on the Sophos Transparent Auth App on all of our DC's. Does anyone know if there is a way to remove them in bulk rather than 1 by 1? (e.g. maybe using the database etc.)

You can remove the file entirely - remove the .db file in the stas dir, or you can edit it with an online SQL editor, then pop it back in the dir

If you stop the stas service then delete the database file, stas will create a new one when you start the stas service back up again

hope that helps

Thanks @Wave_Lee -

If I remove the DB file, will that still retain the config? In other words, will it only affect the current logged on users list?

Yes - it's just the users. it doesn't break everything. You can always just change the extension or make a copy of it.

Settings are in the .ini file, live users are in the .db file
