By the sounds of it fast drum roles would be quite difficult (I mean really fast roles though)

 

Or do they not exist much in the songs?

 

There are some fast bits depending on the song and there are also freestyle sections where you get points by hitting as manny notes as possible during the time - the thing is to get the points you must get the notes just afterwards correct or else it wipes the freestyle bonus.

 

Can't say that I played the drums that much as skill wise I am still a total beginner, I would say that it would take more effort to do it on the pads rather than actual drums though - from my limited experience with both. It is still totally doable though and good fun.

Thought I'd just add that I've finally tried Rock Band

I LOVE IT!

 

went to a party and they had it set up. I had one go and was addicted. Shame I had to share, I would have been on it for 4 hours straight other wise.

 

Back to the point, it was weird to start off with, the Drums being in a funny order to real ones, it confused me a little. After got used to it, it did feel like playing the drums more than I expected.

 

Started achieving 90% on most songs on the Medium difficulty, which I thought was impressive from 2-3 hours playing, considering I hadn't even seen one in real life before then.

I bought the rockband kit (without the game) and bought GH World Tour to play, it's all gravy! Shall be getting GH 4 when it's out and i might even treat myself to the actual Rockband game this week, shall have to see what the wages are like ;-)

Not a big fan of GH:WT, still keep going back to 2 and 3 quite often. Wish you could use the earlier songs in later games like you can in RB2!

I had Guitar Hero World Tour, went mad at the weekend and bought Rockband, so cool, sounds good. Won't have time until Thursday though because i'm busy as sin!
