Hi,

Does anyone have any experiences of switching from SIMS to iSAMS they're willing to share, or any general pros and cons of iSAMS / things you wish you knew beforehand?

Thanks

Bumping this back up as this is something I am currently looking into. Has anyone had any recently experience with the move? Or even in the last few years?

Doing a couple in the group now. If you get a dump of the DB, iSAMS can assist in extracting the info into their standard CSV import templates for review.

Should have a first look at imported data in a few weeks so can flag any issues.

We did last summer. Happy to chat if it helps.

Just doing this now, found out that linked documents do not migrate over, unless you purchase other software ....

We asked for a dump of the DMS. If you have the files and a spreadsheet that links the files to the student ID then iSAMS can import it.

The issue we've found is that the docs aren't immediately available in iSAMS for a parent to see, you have to do something weird like click on it once manually for it to quasi-publish and then it's available.

We're just looking at how to make that process easier / do it en masse.
