Issue with Inventry drive mapping inconsistently

We used to use mapped network shares, this was an absolute nightmare, we then used to copy the inventry folder off the server to a staff share once a month but then started to get some other issues with backups etc, after talking with support we ended up putting the InVentry device on our domain and all of our issues were resolved, staff access InVentry from a shortcut on their desktop and it is always up to date.

We did exactly the same and domain joined it with InVentry supports help. Not had any problems running it from the file share directly after the join.
