Don't do it! The hosted one was awful and we migrated away after suffering for a couple of years to a company called Libresoft who have been brilliant. They may be able to do a migration from that database, not sure if they would be able to do it without login details though.

I echo Steve, don't do it!

We were automatically moved to the hosted one a few years ago and it was awful. 2 years ago we moved to Libresoft and as Steve said they are brilliant.

As well as being cheaper, it's much easier to use. Support is great. Would definitely recommend you taking a look. They were able to migrate our database as part of the installation.

Well apparently we use the secondary school version here and the only issue we have is that we have to manually update from sims new intake and move year groups around ect

as we didnt pay for the sims link

Is the primary still paying them for support? If so, they should be able to provide you with an account number. IIRC that's all you needed to start a new installation and then you could import the database (it's been a while and not at a school that might have the old files lurking today!). Also worth checking if your Finance peeps can find one.

OTH: Libresoft FTW - worth starting from scratch to get away from MLS.
