chazzy2501 Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 (edited) I just purchased 33 Ryzen based Lenovo's, the first PCs with Ryzen and NVMe storage for the school. Early testing says these things rip! The PC was still installing drivers and updates so the scores could be a little better. These are so nice I wish I'd bought one for myself! Edited May 11, 2021 by chazzy2501
msi_school Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 We got some Ryzen 5 at Easter for a basic classroom update, I am trying to work out how I justify one for me.
chazzy2501 Posted May 12, 2021 Author Posted May 12, 2021 These are not only better than my office PC but better than my old 4790k at home. I'll stick a game on it later and see how well the IGP does. single 8gb ram though...next years upgrade as no prebuilt can be configured with dual channel ram. (it would seem)

(it would seem) For gaming, it’ll be somewhere a chunk below a mid range card. They’re great for casual stuff and older titles, but CP2077, Metro: Exodus etc will make it cry.
chazzy2501 Posted May 13, 2021 Author Posted May 13, 2021 (edited) The monitor is a stand in, they're on a different order;) I'm trying to get IPS or VA panels this time. I put the Crysis 2007 demo on it and it ran 60+ 720p medium. I haven't pushed it further yet. oh, happy to report the lenovo has 4 memory slots (peeked inside) so upgrades should be easy. synaesthesia Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 We bought one of these PC's in full AIO kit - Curries listed the whole kit and caboodle for £419. Snapped their arms off to by one, got MASSIVELY impressed (they're built like brick outhouses), went to put the order in for 30 to find they'd corrected an obvious price mistake and went up to £700!
Arthur Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 That'd be great appreciated! PM sent. If you do get a cheaper quote than me let me know. We bought one of these PC's in full AIO kit Was that the HP or Lenovo?
