lol, Didn't Top gear have the same idea with the Hammerhead Eagle iThrust ?? Only that you could drive at the same time if you were not overcome by diesel fumes.

 

However defeats the goal of renewable energy a bit and need to carry a generator and diesel around in the boot. But yeah it would get you out of stick but I'm guessing the charge will not last that long.

I think its more of a case of "oh darn, we've ran out of energy in the middle of nowhere". Could probably do something similar with an external battery pack. Like we do with phones. But larger.

Some recovery companies have an EV charger in their vans, but as the vans run on diesel it's just passing the problem one step along the line!
