Role Overview

 

The successful candidate will enjoy a salary of between £52,000 - £57,000 per annum as well as a final salary pension scheme. The role is permanent and will require some evening and weekend work. As the IT Manager, you will work with our client’s senior leadership team to effectively manage a team of 3 IT staff and deliver and maintain excellent ICT resources and support.

Responsibilities:

 

● Assist in creating a 3 year ICT service plan which you will then project-manage and implement.

● Support our client’s staff in all ICT matters, including offering training when required.

● Provide regular reports on ICT services.

● Manage ICT tenders.

● Alongside the Financial Director, monitor the annual ICT budget.

● Manage our client’s ICT team, including arranging training when needed.

● Manage the day to day use of our client’s ICT infrastructure including remote access.

● Manage network infrastructure and components.

● Manage and support our client’s intranet and website.

● Stay on top of all upgrades to software and hardware, including security checks.

● Rectify faults within the ICT systems.

● Manage and create our client’s backup and virus protection procedures.

● Organise solutions to support requests and analyse data on our client’s support requests.

● Maintain a high level of service support.

● Provide second and third level support when required.

● Manage all external ICT contracts.

 

 

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

 

● Knowledge of ICT in Education organisations.

● Exceptional technical ICT knowledge and experience.

● Experience of ICT/Network management.

● Experience of working in ICT at a strategic level.

● Experience of leading an ICT team.

● Excellent communication.

● Proactive approach to work and solution driven.

● Comfortable managing a team.

● Comfortable managing a budget.

● Methodical in their approach to work.

● Keen eye for detail.
