Teams - School Assembly for staff and students

I have been asked to set up whole school assembly through teams and both students and staff will be joining the assembly.

 

Please can you let me know if a live event or Teams meeting will be a suitable this.

Live events will be more than suitable. I would stay away from using Meetings however, as there is a 300 user limit. You will need a license to do Live events.

why don't they just pre record it? does it need to be "live"

2 or 3 laptops each running a meeting, give a link to all 3.

Definitely a live event, this is the kind of thing the live feature is designed for.

Failing that what about a live stream to YouTube or similar and provide an unlisted link?
