ITGuyNW Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 (edited) Hi all, I have successfully deployed ActivInspire via PDQ Deploy, however does anyone know how to deploy the Resource pack (the one you import through ActivInspire) from the website? It's in a funny .AS4A format. I thought I'd try and be clever by unzipping it and leaving it on a share, but it requires a password. Is there a way of installing it alongside the main install? DaveTheTech Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 (edited) Part of the initial setup is to extract those files, if you want to.You can then put those on a share and point AI to it - there's a field for it in the admin.ini Just found their admin guide: 1808 | Promethean Support (prometheanworld.com) If you have already deployed AI, you should be able to edit the file on each workstation. adamkirkz Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Hi You can download the MSI version of the resource pack from here: https://inspire.activsoftware.co.uk/resource_pack/ActivInspireMainRes_ENU.msi This is direct from article 1406: https://support.prometheanworld.com/article/1406/ The main resource pack is separate to the core resource pack that is part of the network installation and contains more additional content. It's been recently updated so that it's removed any of the old Flash content due to this being unsupported and ActivInspire 2.21 has addressed this too. I hope this helps 2

A year later, but I was in the process of updating our ActivInspire deployment package. We previously used PDQ Deploy and didn't have too much trouble creating and deploying the package. We now use PDQ Connect (web-based + agent-based) and it's a little different. ActivInspire.msi needs a host of different files and folders in order to install successfully. I was running into issues uploading everything to PDQ Connect (hit the file limit, etc). The only way I got it to work with PDQ Connect was to copy everything to the target computer (zipped), unzip, run .msi, then clean everything up. Current PDQ Connect package looks like: 1.
