Role Overview

 

The successful candidate will receive an excellent salary of up to £40,000 per annum. The role is full time, and offers a range of exceptional benefits. As the Data Manager you will need a clear understanding of the Data Protection Act and how it relates to data in the Education sector. You will be responsible for managing our client’s information systems and ensuring data is collected, analysed and utilised in order to drive performance.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Capture and analyse our client’s data to help improve performance.
  • Improve and develop our client’s use of data and management information systems (MIS) to efficiently collate data that can be used to improve performance.
  • With the help of the Director of Transformation and IT, keep our client’s MIS up to date and operations, and solve any issues when needed.
  • Create data pathways between systems.
  • Manage our client’s internal portals.
  • Assistant with administration of data entry when needed.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the MIS and data systems used by our client.
  • Write reports in SSRS and product detailed analysis reports.
  • Work with our client’s web hosting partners to integrate the MIS with our client’s intranet.
  • Perform SQL and database updates.
  • Plan and coordinate our client’s data capture and progress tracking system on the MIS.
  • Import and export data from third parties.
  • Train staff on the use of complex data.
  • Undergo training to further develop your own data management skill set.

 

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Previous experience in data management and ICT systems.
  • Previous experience in database management and Microsoft excel.
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act and its implications.
  • Excellent understanding of numerical data and previous experience of analysing numerical data.

 

Nice to have, but not essential:

  • Degree, or similar level qualification.
  • Analytical academic qualifications.
  • Experience of working in the Education sector.
  • Previous experience of MIS, and SQL.
