LeMarchand Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55637328 Surely if these only work with user input they are next to useless? Many people who are actually "down" won't want to admit it so as not to be seen as rocking the boat/malingering and, if the company is going to do something to help you'll get the Wallys (from Dilbert) of the company gaming the system.
elsiegee40 Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 (edited) My immediate reaction would be “get stuffed” or words to that effect. Even on my lowest days, I wouldn’t have been able to press a button to admit that to my employer. I couldn’t admit it to myself. I had post natal depression after my first child was born. A few weeks after the second was born, I was questionnaire to complete by the health visitor. I filled it in and then asked if it was screening for PND. It was. I then informed the health visitor that I wouldn’t have answered any differently first time round. She thanked me for saying so. She had apparently argued the same with the powers that be. smurfomatic Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 It's rather simplistic to summarise anyone's mood as "happy" or "sad". What would be the consequences if you just pressed "sad" every time you're asked? Are the bosses going to use this to give you support, or think you're a liability and give you the sack?
FN-GM Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 If i was made to wear this I would be pressing yellow right away!
srochford Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 Sounds a bit like this https://myhappyforce.com/en/ which will allow you to "Impulse your organisation through feedback" I wasn't impressed by it but I'm sure it has value (if only to the company selling it!)
JATSO Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 Wonder what would happen if you just keep pressing the Happy Key they might leave everyone alone to get on with their job.
hardtailstar Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 I'm sure they could tell from some of my emails....
