Guest Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 After spending all night getting this to work I need one
Dos_Box Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 The bit that said 'Guest'. I had not yet enabled members only access. 2
Dos_Box Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Yes. I too also have shiny McDonalds stars. I will change these to something sutable in the near future such as floppies or something. 1
Ric_ Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Surely, you mean solid-state storage devices? You know that the pictures will just fail to load at random intervals and you will be asked if you would like to reformat them at random intervals! 3
Dos_Box Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 I'm going to have 'No, you can't have your bloody password changed!' as my forum sig. As soon as I can find where to change it in this forum 2
Ric_ Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Any idea how to add my avatar yet? - there's an option to link off to another site but no upload Also, am I an admin yet 'cos I don't seem to have any fancy-smancy controls
ninjabeaver Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Blimey, your quotes about passwords are a contant saying in my office / workshop / hovel. I'm soooo glad I'm not the only one.

The best trick is to reset the user's password and then say, "OK, I've reset your password." You then watch them walk off - see how long it takes for them to figure out that they don't know what their new password is! 1

Diello Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 Yup - that's always a good one! We also hold all the colour printers at break times - kids have to come and ask one of my Techs if they can have their print job released and have to explain what it is - the number that come in, explain why they need it, then leave without giving out their username is quite shocking!
markwilfan Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 (edited) Noooooooooo that should make it interesting for our teachers Edited June 15, 2013 by markwilfan
Ephelyon Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Is this a record on EduGeek? An EIGHT-YEAR gap in posts on a single thread?
markwilfan Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 No that was tapatalk going MENTAL! I replied to the post about swgfl staff proxy
markwilfan Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Jesus, talk about grave-digging! As explained previously, tapatalk decided to post my reply to the swgfl staff proxy thread into what I can only imagine is the first thread on edugeek so pop your pitchfork away @Lee91
laserblazer Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Yes. I too also have shiny McDonalds stars. I will change these to something sutable in the near future such as floppies or something. No rush.
