Teams Meetings

Is it possible to set up a Teams meeting where only the organiser can see questions which are posted? We're thinking of doing an "Open Evening" like we do every year, but obviously virtually this year and we'd like parents to ask questions but without all the other parents seeing the questions.

Thanks, but I can't see anything in there about setting up a chat that means people can ask questions, but us as the organisers are the only people who actually see them. We feel if we invite parents to ask questions, some won't if they think everyone can see it is them who is asking.

Hi. I run loads of live events here and i can confirm that if you use Q&A and choose not to publish any questions then only the Producer and Presenters can see the questions. If you publish a question then the great unwashed can also see said question

Thanks for the responses, but it looks like you can only do it if you have the calendar function in Teams, which you only get if your emails are in the cloud. Ours aren't (on-site Exchange) but it's something I'm working on at the moment!

Only to create the meeting, you can cheat by creating the meeting on a cloud account, then sending a message to the event, which will let everyone join from the chat.

What Mr Bald said Create a 365 only account with an A1 license, cloud exchange and teams, create the live event using that account and then cut and paste the Presenter and participant links from it to the actual recipients. Just make sure you choose the correct Producers and Presenters while you are setting up the meeting Edited January 13, 2021 by AJWhite1970
