It's asking for the school name.

 

We all know our school name, don't we?

 

Er, apparently not. There is zero documentation as the previous guy here "kept all that sort of stuff in his head".

 

The school changed from being "Schoolname" to "Schoolname School" to "Schoolname College" all within the last 15 years. Not to mention all the acronynms and abbreviations that are used. Our AD is xyz\, but servers are prefixed xxz. It's mental.

 

Anyway - I can get into the DB backend through SQL Server Management Studio. Would the correct name that SIMS Services Manager is looking for be set in there anywhere? It's not in the properties or in any of the table names I've found.

IIRC if you log a call with Capita they can tell you what it was registered as.
