Activboard Driver 5.18.12.0

Hi. I support a school with activboard 500pro and laptops running windows10. The drivers on the laptop have updated to latest version and boards are responding poorly. The one laptop that still has the 5.18.12.0 driver works fine. Would anyone have a copy of this driver or slightly earlier so I can reinstall this version on staff laptops. I was hoping I may have kept an old version in my downloads, but no. Would much appreciate the help.

Also interested in this. Found the same updated the driver on an old proactiv board and had win 10 computers blue screening.

I Tried the beta driver which the boards weren’t responding to at all.

We had very similar to what you describe, and played around with different drivers and didn't come up with a workable solution.

We then upgraded the firmware on the boards and have had no issues since. The option to upgrade the board is found within the activ board settings - very easy.

Had similar issues with old ActivBoards blue screening after updating laptops from 1809 to 2004.

 

Seems Promethean are aware of this and is an issue that was introduced in 1903. Workaround is to use the 5.18.12 driver for older boards, or update the FW on the newer ones:

Tried updating the firmware but the primary that is suffering unfortunately have the really old activ boards which Promethean said they no longer support, but try their beta drivers. Unfortunately I had no luck
