Exchange Hybrid Configuration Wizard

I'm currently running the Hybrid Exchange wizard and am unsure what to put in here;

 

 

The two IP addresses it has filled in by default are ones at Suffolk CC which we used to use when we were on County broadband. We haven't ben with them for over three years. What is it I should put in?

Tongue in cheek aside, what's your external IP for your transport server?

 

As in you must have an external IP/port forward setup to route mail internal->external->internal etc

What do your current MX DNS entries point at? The fact that those CC addresses appear would suggest you have some old stale configuration somewhere, and it pays to get that absolutely right first as otherwise you’ll be chasing errors.

Yes that is correct. That'll teach me for reading everything in the wizard instead of just going with what I knew!

Well this is what it threw back at me once it finished;

Hello from the other side of suffolk!

 

Your MRS service needs to be running and mail. listening to microsoft IP ranges on https. You can manually create the hybrid endpoint once the wizard completes (assuming this lets you I cannot recall it the HCW will bomb out)

Could someone clarify something for me please? I am setting up the Hybrid thing so that we can use the Calendar in Teams however, our addresses are all @DebEnhamhigh.co.uk but externally my OWA and stuff is all at debenhamhighschool.suffolk.sch.uk, so when articles like this one say;

 

Test with https://mail.contoso.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx and https://autodiscover.contoso.com/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml

 

does it need the @DebEnhamhigh.co.uk to work or will it be happy with the @DebEnhamhighschool.suffolk.sch.uk working even though that domain isn't mentioned anywhere in my O365 setup?

 

Nobody uses the @DebEnhamhighschool.suffolk.sch.uk email addresses. This is all left over from years back before me.

There's doesn't have to be a correlation between our EWS URL and your email address. For example, Ive just worked with a business with ~50 different email domains and the EWS URL is different again.
