Teams from MIS

Good morning all,

 

Can I ask is many people are building Staff Subject\Department Teams populated from your MIS.

We are doing this with ClassTeams for students obviously but wondered if you can do the same for permanent

Staff Teams.

I've trained Teachers (and they've trained themselves) to create their own team groups. They seem happy with this, they're also in charge of making their own tutor group as that doesn't come over either.

Salamander does this for us.

We use Salmandersoft to create the class email distribution lists for teachers, then instruct them to setup Teams how they wish.

 

Gives the best of both worlds really and not restricted to single year teams like you are with SDS.

We have Salamander creating Teams from any class set in our MIS. Teachers are then trained to prepare the team & activate.

Sorry, I should say I use SDS and salamander, I was talking about the things it doesn't do. (tutor groups, subject departments, non-class groups)
