[sims] Scripting User account creation

Has anyone on here ever looked into scripting SIMS .net user account creation? - I'm assuming there isn't going to be anything native and it's going to be a case of SQL scripts

 

For context we've got the AD account creation part nailed down now, creating the accounts, generating a nice PDF and emailing it to the user, all from a single script, but we're now looking at the last manual part of the process

Just bumping this so I don’t lose it as I have seen something which creates user accounts in sims or something like that.

I’m sure it is in one of the predefined sql scripts that is within the database but one, I can’t remember what is is called and two whether it was a user creation script on mass or individual accounts.

I’m back at work on Monday and will have a look.

Work you way through the sql scripts within the database, there’s loads but you may be lucky to find it.

All I can say is salamander, salamander, salamander.

Absolutely superb product the support is superb as well. It creates all the accounts in AD from Sims it can also write back to Sims as well.

Not used it in a while and I could be wrong but Salamanda as far as I know doesn’t create sims users in bulk.

 

Op is looking to creating sims users on mass. Rather than create ad users based on sims which yes salamanda can do

You can use the SIMs business objects to create SIMs users.
