Do you have the Chromebooks set to erase all local user data on logoff? If so, Chrome OS limits the storage capacity of the drive.

https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/1375678?hl=en#ephemeral_users_enabled

If you set it to 'Erase all local user data', the storage available to the users is limited to half the RAM capacity of the device.

Note: By default, Chrome devices encrypt all user data and automatically clean up disk space when shared by multiple users. This default behavior works best for most deployments and ensures data security and an optimal user experience. We recommend you enable Erase all local user data rarely and selectively.

Yes its set to delete on logoff, i checked that as its something we had to change for Store apps, but weve removed them now. Thanks..

Not sure what else it could be.

If they're managed Chromebooks set the default download location to Google Drive.

This makes sense, where in G-Suite can we change this for all users ? Just having a look now but if you know exactly where let me know.

Thanks

This is set here, is this the setting looks like its already applied... Shall I turn off the Prompt so they cannot choose?

Anyone know how to clean the downloads location on the Chromebooks ? Is it as simple as going into the file app and then in Downloads?

Thanks
