Jaan Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Hi all, i'm not sure this is the same issue as Solus breaks latest workstation patch But i'm getting an error whilst trying to install Sims on a workstation. The solus agent goes on, as does Sims discover. However i get the following error when i try and install Sims; "workstation update:- There are no suitable workstation updates compatible with the current database version 3.6.3.711.0 (Agent target id 855) I'm not even sure when this started to be an issue. The last patch we installed was the census update and fileset 1604. I've never seen this error before. I've also noticed that i click on "Check for updates" on the solus agent against SIMs. I get the same error. Even if sims is installed. Any Ideas? Thanks

Jaan Posted October 6, 2020 Author Posted October 6, 2020 I get this error on all my computers when trying to install/update sims. Each has a different Agent id though.
SVSITSupport Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Not sure if you ever got this fixed, but there is now an article on SIMS to resolve this issue We faced the same problem after deploying the update to Autumn 2020 https://support.capitasoftware.com/csm/?sys_kb_id=98b03c69db98a010ef02c34405961905&id=kb_article_view This error occurs as a result of an issue with the initial versions of the update packages for the Autumn 2020 SIMS and FMS updates. A fix has since been identified and applied to both of these packages. If you experience this issue, please run a Get Updates check in SOLUS 3 via the menu route Settings | SOLUS 3 | Updates to ensure that you have the latest package versions available. Once run, this should give a message advising "XX updates have been retrieved" and you should then be able to pull down the updates via the SOLUS 3 agent on your workstation as expected. If needing to update a number of workstations, please redeploy the update to the affected workstation via SOLUS 3 on the SIMS server. You can redeploy the update via the menu route Upgrades | Deployment History. Please note, the Get Update menu route is only available in SOLUS 3.12.41 upward. If you are still using an older version of SOLUS 3 we would recommend updating to 3.12.41 as a minimum in order to access the fix. 2
