Running Photoshop on AMD

Hi All,

 

First of many I hope as this is my first thread. With the below links I am looking for some information on anyone who has installed Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop on any of the CPUs via a laptop and if it was still working efficiently, software is for a secondary school year 10 and 11 so nothing too extreme with usage.

It'll work, no doubt, though these are low-end CPUs with two cores and no SMT. Not comparable to a Core i5 in cost terms - more the Pentium Gold 6405U. Will be slow in image processing, but for general touch-ups etc should be fine.

I'd say not even that - they're more like a "higher end" Celeron as Pentiums these days are the equivalent of pre-'Coffee Lake' i3s minus the AVX512 extensions.

The AMD CPU does come with an SSD to help with the speed but still wasn't sure on issues with Photoshop, the issue is Adobe Photoshop says it has minimum requirements needed to run...https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html (windows).
