sted Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 i want one but then id really need a high refresh 4k screen (i currently have a 4k 60 32") and i only built the pc with a 2060 super this year lol and it does run most stuff at 60fps or above (if i turn off vsync)
Dos_Box Posted September 11, 2020 Author Posted September 11, 2020 I suspect that for many, the 3070 will be the go to card, especially if you are still gaming in 1080p. Then again, AMD may just upset the apple cart and we shall find out in just a couple of weeks now. I did see that online reviewers have received their Nvidia test cards now but can't find out when the review embargo is going to be lifted. I hope this will be next week at some point (can't find any info on the embargo dates online).

George76 Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 I'm still using my Radeon 5700 and it's perfect for 1080p gaming. If I upgrade my monitor and CPU, then we will see if I choose between RTX 3000 or Navi 2 It's a great time coming for new buyers!

I've been increasingly playing through my 4K LG OLED TV than on my 1440p 165Hz monitor and the 1080 Ti does struggle, especially on new titles to maintain 30-60fps on even moderate settings on modern titles. I want to see the AIB reviews that should be going live today. I can't afford the high end £800+ models, like the Asus ROG STRIX, but the lower £650-£700 models like EVGA FTW and Asus TUF, possibly. The card I've been eyeing up is the ichill x4, should have a healthy OC from stock, the price was just bumped up a bit though

I literally clicked the refresh button on NVIDIA's website at 14:00:01 and the status changed to "Out of Stock" straight away. Something's not quite right there.

Happened quicker for you then, from 2pm onwards I was refreshing the page and didn't get the out of stock notification until about ten past three!

WTF eBuyer! :mad: Their website only shows an order for one graphics card - which I have since cancelled - but I have been charged for five cards (£4,279.85!!!) If Amazon had more of the AIB cards I would have ordered one from them instead. At least their website doesn't crash.
