E_G_R2 Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Hi, school been closed down for COVID since March. Some workstations were working remotely and we did a SIMS SOLUS update in May. Workstations that were on updated no problem and show online in SOLUS. Workstations that were off during lockdown show as offline and won't update. Anybody got a clue? Saw a post that suggested flush dns on sims server but that's not made a difference.
E_G_R2 Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 Bump - getting nowhere fast with this. Tried turning off firewalls, AV and running as local or domain admin. Still the same issue.
howartp Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Hi Chris Log onto the local PC and remove the agent. Then remove the agent and target in SOLUS and re-add them. The agent will reinstall and redeploy the update. Peter 2
DrBeaker Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 How long have the machines been off for? Is it possible they've lost the domain trust? Being powered off for months is the same as being off-site working at home for months

round2it Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Is your switch for pushing updates switched on i had to enable updates today to push out a new update on a fresh build win 10 machine.
howartp Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Where is that screenshot coming from? The server or the local pc? Is localhost correct?
Primus Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 How long have the machines been off for? Is it possible they've lost the domain trust? Being powered off for months is the same as being off-site working at home for months Unless you're using a policy that disables the computer account after a certain amount of time without an authentication then a normal client device wouldn't lose the domain trust simply by being off for a while or outside of the network - they don't tombstone like a DC that was offline would. 1
E_G_R2 Posted August 26, 2020 Author Posted August 26, 2020 OK update I gave up and managed to get CAPITA to look at it. For whatever reason the SOLUS agent was not starting up automatically on the PC's. Don't know why.
howartp Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Ah, we had that right at the start of SOLUS. Been fine since though.
