dmartin1018 Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 Hope everyone is keeping well! Just a quick question really about what everyone does for email signatures? Do you leave staff to do their own or do you standardise them? We standardise them currently and it's pretty much name, job title, school address and phone number (including extension) with the school logo on the left. Nothing special like social media links like some places etc. Staff request them and the my team create them. We have a Photoshop template that we just tinker with-- fill in the info and send it to the user with a guide on how to set an image as their email signature. It's time consuming though and as you know with teachers, they have about 10 job titles that change 10 times a year and extension numbers change with it so I want to streamline the process. I've seen a few solutions online but they're mega bucks. Just wanted to see what sort of stuff people do or what software they use, along with what they're paying? Any ideas please? Thanks in advance!

jmak Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 FWIW I'm not a fan of using images for signatures. If you have your email client set not to download images by default (and I had that set as domain policy), you don't get any of the details. Add a template with images of branding and school logos if you need to, but I think signatures should be text. 2

dapaulio Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I have created a mail flow rule on appending the disclaimer using active directory tags on one of the schools I manage and they are happy with it and it’s limitations... The limitations are The signature ends up at the end of the email conversation not the email your sending. So it is good for new emails outbound but rubbish for replies in conversations. How ms haven’t put something in place like this I really don’t know. It doesn’t replace a signature if one already exists it just appends another to it. You can I believe Powershell away everyones signature though
manc_techie Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 I'm outside of Education these days but we use Exclaimer applies as mails leave the server and ensures a standard look and feel across all devices
