Smee Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 we have several old Promethean Activboards. One of them has started clicking and the light at the top left corner flashes at the same time (two clicks in rapid succession) Is there a list of fault finding clicks anywhere please. thanks

I'd start with a known good PSU (we have had a fair few failures of PSUs over the years, and they often go intermittent before failing completely). I'd also try a different cable - plug in direct if possible. Maybe also try plugging in a known good PC from one of the other systems. I thought there was a diagnostic software tool once upon a time, but I can't find that at the moment. There's not a lot to repair on these unfortunately. adamkirkz Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 Hi, I'd agree with Chris, first steps would be to test the PSU with a known working one from another ActivBoard of the same model. I'd then go down the route of direct connections, different cables and a known working PC. Thanks, Adam 1
Smee Posted June 18, 2020 Author Posted June 18, 2020 Thank you for you help Will give it a go. If we end up with any budget in the new school year (Ha!) the intention is to replace this year groups IWBs but I have a feeling we won't get a budget again. Once again thanks for you suggestions.
