Kernel panic every few nights

I have a new MacBook Pro 16". A few weeks ago, I noticed that it had switched itself off, when I opened the lid, it went through the whole boot sequence. When it finally booted up, it told me the MacBook had restarted due to an error. It's not started more and more often. It only happens when I shut the lid and put the device on charge. Not every time, but every few days. Here is the general error log I get:

Any ideas what could be causing this? Of course, I can't take it to Apple for a service, because all the stores are closed at the moment. The phone support hasn't been helpful at all.

Yes, I tried that and it told me it couldn't find any issues. Ironically, right after I restarted and it booted back into macOS, it gave me the kernal panic error! macOS is fully updated.

Nope, haven't installed any of those. It's a clean stand alone MacBook Pro. It's relatively new, being the 16" model, so not installed much on it!

Slight problem! Is there anyway I can run memtest86 without a USB drive? As it's a 16" MacBook Pro, I only have USB-C ports and didn't particularly want to buy a USB-C drive or converter just for this. If needs must, I will, but just wondered if there way a way...

If you have access to an Android device that you don't mind rooting you could try DriveDroid, but unfortunately this would take more time/effort than simply buying an adapter.

 

USB-C to USB-A adapters can be purchased for as little as ~£2.00 though.

I think this seems to be a common issue currently with the 16". I've had it myself a few times, and I've seen people reporting the same on forums and Reddit.
