We’re offering a new and exciting opportunity for someone skilled in SIMS data management and with an excellent understanding of school business processes to join our successful Schools ICT team. We are part of Orbis IT & Digital, a shared service operated by partners Brighton & Hove City Council, East Sussex County Council and Surrey County Council.

 

You’ll help with MIS software evaluation, testing, implementation planning and transition/customer readiness. Key activities include the design and delivery of training & consultancy to customers (primarily for MIS systems but also for associated tools and processes), resolving escalated customer issues, and supporting them with meeting their statutory obligations and improving their business effectiveness.

 

If you have experience of working in a support team or a school, especially if you’ve used SIMS both intensively and broadly in a secondary school – particularly on the academic management side of things – are a great communicator, and enjoy being the in-house superuser that people come to for help with solving their MIS queries, we’d love to hear from you. We are also really interested in any experience you may have had with delivering training, or supporting/using alternative school MIS systems, third party tools, Office 365 and PowerBI; however, not having this is not a barrier as full training will be given.
