Anyone else having issues with Twitter verification emails?

We need to claim the usual social media handles for a new entity/project and I'm having real problems getting Twitter to send a verification email.

Instagram, Facebook and everyone else has no issues. Twitter never arrives.

(Yes, I could add a mobile number, but WTF should I when they offer email verification).

This isn't the first time Twitter's been the awkward one.

We had exactly the same issue, in the end i ended up using our department mobile number and then editing the account once created to use an email address and removed the mobile number.

We found about 5% of the time the email turned up, never any failures logged anywhere. Late at night had a greater success rate just clicking “resend email” over and over.

Same issue here. In the end I set up a GMail account which we retain access to. Twitter emails just never came through. I can see by doing a message trace that some of our staff get emails from [email protected] quite regularly, it just seems to be new account/password resets that don't come through. The biggest problem is you can't get any support from Twitter on this!

No, they blame everyone else and say "check your junk folder", despite the fact 100% of the people I've asked about Twitter emails say the same thing about how unreliable they are at arriving.

I decided to do the same - I used the mobile first and then edited the account when activated.
