I installed Windows 10 Education and Smart Notebook 11.4 onto a laptop and it worked fine connecting to an older Smart Notebook board, but it was an 800 series board where the Windows 10 Education has the issue not picking up the USB connection.

Smart notebook 11.4 with the version 12 drivers works fine on windows 10 for us (although on our test laptops for 1909 a windows update seems to have started making it crash after showing the loading splash screen)

 

This happened to us but deleting the files in the Smart Notebook in My Docs, solved this

hi there i have had this it not down to the smart note book its down to the software for the broad drive to make it syc i have this if you find the right drivers for it will fix the problems only thing is if you have the older boards with a coms adaptor you will need to unplug this

You might be able to just update the driver by pointing it to search the installation folder, that is what we did to get our older boards working with windows 10

 

I had to do the same. Uninstall driver, point to install path . Fixed [emoji106]

Might be worth noting that after 1/7/2020 you wont be able to activate notebook versions before 17.0 - https://www.smarttech.com/support/discontinued-products

 

Does Smart Notebook 11 activate online or does it just do an internal lookup of the key?

Just to say that I had to install Notebook 11.4 recently and it appeared to work, stated activated... just like in my offline test last month... will update if something happens and it suddenly isn't.
