Looking to replace some ancient iOS 6 ipod touches that are really just used by primary kids to play games, problem is nothing works on iOS 6 any more.

How are the Fire 7 tablets? Can I import ssl cert? Set proxy? Any possibility of locking them down/central management? Will they play the basic free games little kids want?

Only £30 so won't be great, but don't want to spend much money.

We have some and they're OK.

Yes you can import an SSL certificate. Yes you can set a proxy.

The MDM Amazon have for the Fire's doesn't work in the UK, so you can have to set each one up individually and there isn't a way of managing them.

Whilst they're based on Android, not every App works with the Fire's, so its worth checking the Amazon App store first to ensure the app (s) you'd like to download are available.

Thanks

Yeah, it'll just be for playing a few games, maybe viewing picture books. Apparently a stick and hoop isn't enough to entertain kids during break times any more.

Hi @mavhc. we'd always recommend an android based tablet with a play store and an MDM so it can be locked down. if however for value (and who can blame you!) are looking at Amazon tabs don't forget to wait for ''black friday''. If you need any ballpark pricing on android tablets let me know or drop me a PM :) kind regards

@StoneGroup_JackW Amazon always used to pass any subsequent discounts on. A few times I have had money refunded to my card. If it still applies then you should be protected if you buy today and the price drops later this week.

Sorry to reserruct this thread but does anyone know how to add a cert to a kids profile on an Amazon Fire tablet? Works for the normal user but can't see how to import it for the kids profile.

Thanks

Can confirm this, I bought a watch in black friday sales at a cheaper price. Two days later it was even cheaper and I asked Amazon for a refund of the difference. It was paid within a day or so.
