It's still ~$400 cheaper than a Samsung Galaxy Fold so a relative bargain.

 

The new RAZR will be available in the UK next month from EE (probably for £1,499).

When the concept images were shared I thought this was a great use of the foldable display technology and with an ageing Galaxy S4 as my daily driver I thought this might be my new phone... But now I think that's very unlikely - although cheaper than the Galaxy Fold at this price point its just not viable for something I use as little as a phone.

 

I still think its a great use of the foldable display, maybe I should start thinking about getting a new contract rather than purchasing the device.

I feel like we are looking at different things... what part looks damaged?

 

I think its good for first gen, I agree slightly gimmicky but the smaller form factor when closed it a great idea imho.

Just where it folds, the mech, the glare on the screen (may be lighting but not this much).

Obviously will be some distortion where it bends, but I'm a very function-over-form person and this serves neither in my eyes

I did notice when watching the folding action the screen appears to float, I'm not sure this is the best design choice: surely dirt will find its way behind the screen. I think it creates a weakness with an already fragile part of the phone and we may see the same issues seen with the first batch of Galaxy Folds released. I'm interested to look at and try the phone, after looking at a member of staffs Galaxy Fold for 5/10 mins i started to no notice any creases or issues when the screen was in use.
