Office 365 - Username problems

Hi

 

Got a slight issue with a user after a Exchange migration.

 

Username onsite are set to LastnameF

 

But on Office 365 it showing this user username as F.Lastname

 

I have checked AD onsite and cant see anything pointing to where it saying F.Lastname.

 

Any ideas where to look?

If you are using adconnect, there is some sort of configuration tool (I forget what’s it’s called) where you can set things like this

You can change the upn on the office365 ad account so it matches to your local one. I will post the script tomorrow for you.

You can update the upn in office 365 by using the following powershell. I would verify that the UPN, proxy address and target address are all correct in AD and then just update the office 365 UPN so it matches your local AD.

Connect-MsolService

Set-MsolUserPrincipalName -UserPrincipalName [email protected] -NewUserPrincipalName [email protected]
