McAfee keeps installing automatically

When I got my very first Windows 10 laptop, after registration, McCafe installs itself. A friend of mine mentioned that McCafe is very bad. Uninstalled. Next, where when I get major updates on Windows 10, it installs itself again and it gets very frustrating!

 

How can I prevent this?

Have you checked scheduled tasks?

We got a bunch of recent Lenovo's and had to clean build them as they came with McAfee and it was a pain/borderline impossible to get it off it.

First thing i always do when i buy a brand new laptop or PC..... Reinstall windows. Only sure fire way to be rid of all the crud!

Task Scheduler? Thank you so much for reminding me that!

I will try it sometime.

 

P.S. I need about a few weeks before using my Windows laptop. I have a Chromebook right now.
