Performance Management Software/Services

Oh wise and wonderful edugeekers, time to utilise the hive mind here.

 

We have been using Bluesky Education for the past couple of years for Performance Management of both Support Staff and Teaching Staff. From a support staff point of view I find it clunky and forced, but that isn't important right now.

 

I have been asked to look at alternatives, that are hopefully cheaper (and I don't actually know how much Bluesky is right now, as it doesn't come out of my budget)

 

I am yet to get a definitive list of what it needs to actually do, as I really do not have a clue about the Teacher Performance Management process at the moment (waiting for a meeting on that one).

 

So the long and the short of it, does your school use any software for performance management, if so, which one? This is so I can compile a list to look at and start offering alternatives to the Leadership Team here.

We used to use SchoolCentre which was an online offering similar to BlueSky with the same complaints - clunky!

 

We now just have folders with the necessary permissions setup on our staff drive for each member of staff.

 

Both the reviewer and reviewee have access to their own folder plus the HT has access to them all and we just have word documents as blank proforma's initially which they complete.

 

Probably took around an hour to an hour and a half initially to setup and any changes at the end of the academic year takes around 10 minutes.

 

SchoolCentre was setting us back around £2k a year when we had it !

Nope just do the relavent meetings write the relavent documents up in word then sign them off.

If you're still looking, SISRA Observe is what people are moving to from BlueSky. It's much cheaper and looks/feels more intuitive.
