Google Slides - hiding the control bar?

I use a Google Slides to run our front screen, it's set up in Kiosk mode and the tab auto-refreshes to pick up any changes.

 

It all works really well, except that whenever it refreshes it displays a control bar.

 

 

Is there anyway to suppress this?

Add &rm=minimal onto the end of your Google Slides URL. e.g.

You can press "ctrl + -" and it should eventually disappear.

That seems to have done the trick.

 

For anyone else wanting to run an easy way to display a screen- this works pretty well, and it's very easy to update.

 

I am using Chrome kiosk mode, with RevolverTabs set to refresh the slideshow every 5 minutes, so any changes made to the slide show are picked up automatically.

@Mr.Ben - you really should show this to all the heads and governors in your trust. Cost of setup per school? Got to be a tenth of what your trust spent. For those not aware this relates to this thread.

Cost is essentially free, assuming you have a spare laptop. Just the cost of the tv screen. I am actually using a laptop with a very broken screen to run it so it's recycling old equipment.

Careful, though. You might get lumped with the task of making all of the content. However, the Google Slides approach is about a fristionless as it gets in terms of putting the onus on other staff to manage content.
