I have deployed Windows 10 1903 and now OneDrive /all users.

I have AADConnect setup with Password Hash and SSO.

I have configured the “Silently configure OneDrive using Windows 10 or domain credentials” in GPO (along with a few other settings I want) - I can see this is applying as the reg keys are showing.

However the user is not signed into OneDrive automatically. The icon just shows as Not Signed In.

Should there be anything else I need to do to ensure that OneDrive signs in automatically?

Nothing specific.

Just looked at the GPOs available and configured as required.

Then deployed the per machine version of OneDrive.

The only missing piece of my puzzle was contrasting opinion on whether a machine needs to be Hybrid Joined or not. Turns out enabling them so doesn’t really matter anyway so I just did it, then it worked pretty instantly.

Sorry can you elaborate on the Hybrid joined bit please?

I've got Onedrive generally signing users in automatically, but it's not consistent. Will work fine for a user on a computer but when the next kid logs in it fails to log them in.

The cloud icon will have a line through it, they can login to the app fine manually but obviously we want it to be seamless. Any suggestions?

Enable Files on Demand. Files will only be downloaded onto the device if they’re opened or the user specifically sets all files to be downloaded.

we set a computer policy. There is a user policy but that is only one setting - Prevent users from seeing the tutorial in the OneDrive Sign in Experience

Here is a screengrab of our computer policy. We have no issues with people signing in automatically. Heavy use and no profile control will fill your drives if many people hotseat.onedrive.jpg

Hi, im hoping someone can help. We would like to move all student and staff homedrives to OneDrive, initially Student/Staff will use the already domain joined laptops and slowly we will reimage them to be fully Intune/Endpoint managed devices. The devices will be used by multiple students, we dont seem to be able to get OneDrive to automatically login the logged in user, instead they have to launch the onedrive app and login separately. Has anyone successfully done this, if so what are we missing?

Have you enabled the GP to silently sign in users using their logged in credentials?

It works great for us, have the odd niggle every now and then when it doesn't sign in for a student but seems to be rare and restarting the device seems to sort it.
